Commands
--------

1. pbl_delete
Direct deletion of files and folders without sending them to the Recycle Bin.
Clears the ReadOnly flag before attempting deletion.
Parameters: listfile (%WL)
Example: pbl_delete %WL

2. pbl_rebootdel
Safe deletion of locked files/folders without the Recycle Bin.
Clears ReadOnly. If immediate deletion is not possible, marks the item
for deletion on the next reboot (MoveFileEx / PendingDelete).
Parameters: listfile (%WL)
Example: pbl_rebootdel %WL

3. pbl_wipe
Secure data destruction by overwriting.
Passes (--passes / -p, 1…35):
1 → 0x00
2 → 0xFF
3+ → random data (RNG)
Processes ADS and renames the item.
Includes an SSD warning (overwriting is less effective on SSDs).
Parameters: listfile (%WL), --passes/-p
Example: pbl_wipe %WL
pbl_wipe -p 3 %WL

4. pbl_emptybin
Standard Windows Recycle Bin empty (SHEmptyRecycleBin).
Shows native Windows dialogs.
Parameters: none
Example: pbl_emptybin

5. pbl_wipebin
Destroys Recycle Bin contents using the same method as pbl_wipe
(enumerates $Recycle.Bin + FileWiper).
Parameters: --passes/-p
Example: pbl_wipebin
pbl_wipebin -p 3

6. pbl_hardlink
Creates hard links to selected files in the other panel with the same name.
Parameters: listfile (%WL), target (%T)
Example: pbl_hardlink %WL %T

7. pbl_symlink
Creates symbolic links to files and folders.
Requests elevation (UAC) when needed if the process is not already
running as administrator.
Parameters: listfile (%WL), target (%T)
Example: pbl_symlink %WL %T

8. pbl_junction
Creates junction points to selected folders.
Parameters: listfile (%WL), target (%T)
Example: pbl_junction %WL %T

9. pbl_hardlinkstr
Mirrors structure: creates matching folders in the other panel, then
fills them with hard links to the files.
Parameters: listfile (%WL), target (%T), source path (%P)
Example: pbl_hardlinkstr %WL %T %P

10. pbl_symlinkstr
Same as hardlinkstr, but with symbolic links.
Parameters: listfile (%WL), target (%T), source path (%P)
Example: pbl_symlinkstr %WL %T %P

11. pbl_verifylinks
Checks symbolic links and junctions.
Result: OK / BROKEN / not-link (report window).
Parameters: listfile (%WL)
Example: pbl_verifylinks %WL

12. pbl_mkdirs
Advanced directory creation.
Supports templates:
- number ranges:
- dates and time
Templates are stored in mkdirs_templates.txt next to the exe.
Edit templates via the “…” button in the form.
Base path = current directory of the TC panel.
Parameters: names / list (%S or paths)
Example: pbl_mkdirs %S

13. pbl_rmdirempty
Recursively removes empty subdirectories.
The root path (%P) itself is not deleted.
Parameters: path (%P)
Example: pbl_rmdirempty %P

14. pbl_copyname
Copies names/paths to the clipboard.
Modes:
(default) - name only
-e / --ext - name with extension
-f / --path - full path
-r / --recursive - include files in subdirectories
Recursive mode can be enabled permanently in config (copyName.recursive).
Parameters: listfile (%WL), options
Example: pbl_copyname %WL
pbl_copyname %WL -r
pbl_copyname %WL -f -r

15. pbl_fromclip
Creates files in the active panel from clipboard contents:
file list, image, or text.
Image format and name template are set in settings
(imageFormat: png|jpg, nameTemplate).
Parameters: path (%P)
Example: pbl_fromclip %P

16. pbl_hash
Computes checksums of selected files:
CRC32, MD5, SHA256.
Result in a window; autoCopy and sidecar options are in config.hash.
Parameters: listfile (%S)
Example: pbl_hash %S

17. pbl_imgconv
Image converter (Magick.NET).
Formats: bmp, jpg, png, webp, ico, tiff, tga, pcx, cur, avif, jp2, dds.
Without --format opens the settings window.
Presets: imgconv_presets.txt.
Features: resize (--max, --width, --height), rotate, flip,
JPEG/WebP/AVIF/JP2 quality, PNG compression, WebP lossless,
name suffix, sRGB, multi-size ICO/CUR.
Parameters: paths (%WL / %T), --format/-f, --quality/-q, --png,
--webp-lossless, --max, --width/-w, --height, --rotate,
--flip-h, --flip-v, --overwrite, --suffix, --dest, --ui
Example: pbl_imgconv %WL
pbl_imgconv %WL %T -f jpg,webp -q 85 --max 1920
pbl_imgconv %WL -f png --rotate 90 --flip-h --suffix _out

18. pbl_gif
GIF tools: extract frames or assemble an animation from images.
Frame order is configurable; delay via --delay.
Parameters: paths (%WL), -m/--mode (assemble|extract), --delay
Example: pbl_gif "%WL"
pbl_gif "%WL" -m assemble --delay 120

Installation
------------
1. Unpack the archive into the Utils folder next to Total Commander
(e.g. C:\Program Files\TotalCommander\Utils\).
2. Drag pbl_tc_utils.bar onto the toolbar.
3. Right-click the new button → "Change".
4. Check "As a menu" → OK.

Or register the commands manually via the application settings
(usercmd.ini registration button).
